I was born in Croatia, Europe. Living on the Dalmatian coast allowed me to enjoy wonderful Mediterranean climate, wholesome food, and be a part of a culture that leads a relaxed lifestyle. Dalmatian people are strong believers in walking, socializing, getting plenty of sleep and rest, and enjoying food that is organically grown. I moved to the USA fourteen years ago where I was immersed into a culture of exercise, self-care, and a strong emphasis on one’s individuality. Combining the experiences from the both continents has allowed me to be aware of and sensitive to multiculturalism. Furthermore, the experience has also enabled me to combine the above outlined values, and to use them as an advantage in the treatment of psychological distress.
In addition, I have received a BA in Psychology from Berea College, and a Master’s degree (M.Ed) in Mental Health Counseling from Lindsey Wilson College. I am an LPCC-S (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor-Supervisor), an NCC (National Certified Counselor), as well as a CPT (Certified Personal Trainer). I have over ten years of work experience in the field of mental health, where I’ve served in the functions of counselor and educator/instructor.
